SAY YOUR PRAYERS was founded in 2016 by José Portuondo-Dember. We provide a place to learn more about prayer, find prayers to give expression to the wide range of human experience and spiritual need, and create an opportunity to make prayer requests and know that someone will pray on your behalf.

Prayer is a foundational spiritual and religious practice, but it can be difficult no matter how much experience you have. Beginners can find themselves overwhelmed with the types of prayer and may struggle with the question of “Who am I to talk to God?” Even if you’ve been praying your whole life, it can be hard to find the right words to express your deepest feelings and emotions.

In addition to being an individual practice, prayer is often most meaningful when it is shared with others. Knowing that others are praying with you and for you can be incredibly powerful but it is also often the case that people may lack a community with whom to share their prayer needs. Also, some prayers are too personal to share with the people that you engage with regularly. Online prayer requests can be an additonal way of fulfilling this need
