מודה אני — Modeh Ani (I give thanks)

מוֹדֶה (מוֹדָה)* אֲנִי לְפָנֶֽיךָ מֶֽלֶךְ חַי וְקַיָּים. שֶׁהֶֽחֱזַֽרְתָּ בִּי נִשְׁמָתִי בְחֶמְלָה. רַבָּה אֱמֽוּנָתֶֽךָ

Modeh (Modah) ani lefaneḵa meleḵ ḥai v’kayam, šeheḥezarta bi nišmati b’ḥemla, rabah emunateḵa

I give thanks before your presence, the living and manifest sovereign. For you have graciously restored my soul to me, in your abundant faithfulness

This prayer is part of traditional Jewish liturgies and is intended to be said as the first prayer upon waking up.
